Established in 2016 Under the ownership of Zach Richardson The Crusaders was the 2nd all women's football team representing Kern County area. Currently we are the only all women’s football team representing the Kern County area. Recognized as a 501C Non_Profit organization it is thru the continued support of local businesses and the community that allows us to represent Kern County in women’s tackle football
The Kern County Crusaders are affiliated with the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). The WFA was founded in 2007 and is currently the largest women’s semi-professional tackle football league in the country. Seventy teams currently play in the WFA and we are proud to be a part of such a strong, competitive league.
We want to give women the opportunity to learn and play tackle football. We are dedicated to hard work, creating a positive environment for women in this sport, being a positive influence to young women athletes. It is important to us for you to know that we hold our players to high expectations on how they conduct themselves on and off the field, representing in a respectful and professional manner not only our team but Kern County and you, our sponsor.
It is the vision of the KC Crusaders to not only enrich the lives of the women playing this sport, but to be involved in the communities throughout the county. We want to provide camps for young girls to learn how to stay healthy, active, and play football. The Crusaders are actively involved in the community volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and The Shafter Youth Center to name a few.
